The Winning Mindset- Part 3

Commit to Memory: “Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us,” (Ephesians 3:20 NIV)

Those who hailed from homes where they have over time been told all manner of negative statements such that they have now grown to believe that as an adult, they might find it alien to cultivate a winning mindset. E.g while growing they have heard their parents say “life is difficult”, “I am poor”, “it is not possible”, “I can’t make it because of my background”, “I can’t get the right job because of my tribe or connection”, “I can’t do this or that” etc. Does this reflect your background while growing up? Then listen, God is saying: start speaking the right words into your life- speak faith-filled words. Start confessing what you want to see and achieve and as the Lord lives, you will begin to see it actualized in your life in no distant time.

Speak positive words of affirmation to yourself now and always as it will help to shape your subconscious mind to begin to pattern your thoughts in line with what you want and release the power to do the supernatural, incredible, impossible and extraordinary as relayed in today’s commit to memory. This is pertinent because what you confess is what you become, so confess what God says about you consistently, not what ugly circumstances, situations, people or the devil say, is saying about you or presents to you. You can speak to that Image of God in you using a mirror. Say it intentionally and keep saying it, don’t stop talking it: say I am multi-talented, I am great, I am going places, I am courageous, I am amazing, I am strong, I am a winner and like Paul “I can do all things”. It’s called the Power of I AM and I CAN.

But then, how do you develop a winning mindset having been born again. Among other things, be creative in your ideas, don’t be negative in any situation and it will expire soon (Gen.1:2-3), value opportunities and maximize them, make creative decisions for life is about choices and decisions- you are where you are today because of the choices and decisions you made yesterday, have a burning desire to succeed and win at all times and in all situations, cultivate a firm believe system to press on, never quitting in the face of difficulties or challenges and then look for problems, learn from them and proffer solutions. For a user of this inspiration, may the Lord supply the strength for the unthinkable and to do the unachievable in your life in Jesus name.

Reflection: If you must win over life’s battles and if you want to change your life, then you must first start with your mindset. Until we imagine, the power of I Can will not be activated.

Prayer Lines

•Father, give me the strength and grace to adopt a new way of thinking that conforms to your will and ways.

•Father, increase my capacity on every side; that I may be able to do the things I couldn’t do before.
