Commit to Memory: “Finally, believers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable and worthy of respect, whatever is right and confirmed by God’s word, whatever is pure and wholesome, whatever is lovely and brings peace, whatever is admirable and of good repute; if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think continually on these things [center your mind on them, and implant them in your heart].” (Philippians 4:8 AMP).
God’s purpose for your life is too important to waste time on negativity, gossip, bitterness, distractions and petty things. Winners never quit and quitters never win- it starts in the mind, so renew your mind daily with God’s word, exercise patience, dream big and believe in your dreams, feed your mind with positive and successful thoughts and you will have a winning mindset. When you are successful in your thoughts, you will be successful in all things on the outside.
The concept of mindset is reflected in the twelve spies sent by Moses to ”spy out the land” of Canaan for forty days, when they returned- they reported that the country indeed flowed with ”milk and honey,” but that they were terrified by the giants who lived there. They said “We were in our own sight as grasshoppers, and so we were in their sight,’‘ (Numbers 13:33).
What a terrible mindset of defeat even before battle, but thank God for the winning mindset of Caleb: Here was his winning mentality in Numb. 13:30:
“But Caleb tried to quiet the people as they stood before Moses. “Let’s go at once to take the land,” he said. “We can certainly conquer it!”
Your attitude is a direct reflection of images that has formed over time as your thoughts. That’s why it’s very important to filter what you give yourself to overtime as it will rob on you by default. So think right and well for if you think evil, evil will come upon you but if you think great- greatness will descend on you. Little wonder Job said “That which I feared has come upon me…” (Job 3:25). What this depicts is that if your perception about something is negative and you see it as a problem, then the outcome will be negative and a problem. May your life reflect God’s ability, mindset and may it work in you now and always .
Reflection: Success becomes attainable with a winning mindset of “I CAN”
