Separated for Greatness

Commit to Memory: “The Lord had said to Abram, “Leave your native country, your relatives, and your father’s family, and go to the land that I will show you.” (Genesis 12:1 NLT).

Been separated for greatness requires making that one move that will redirect the course of your life and destiny aright, it’s that one decision that will prosper your destiny in the right path. For this cause, God had to tell Abraham to leave his father’s house for Canaan, for Joseph it was an exodus from Cannan to Egypt and for Jesus he had to leave Egypt for Nazareth. All these were to prepare and separate them for greatness as without this, their destines to greatness would have been jeopardized. That is why it is catastrophic to make a dogma out of a particular location as God is not constrained to a choiced location for blessing all of his children. He is a God whose wisdom is manifold, His ways are past finding out and His approach of healing is diversified. For example, many people think their life will be better if they travel abroad, but the truth is that your progress and promotion does not  come from abroad, it comes from above.

The concept of leaving the comfort zone is very important to God in the preparation and equipping for greatness and destiny. Little wonder God had to say that a “man must leave his father (leave the place of comfort) and cleave to his wife (to face responsibilities).” (Gen.2:24 emphasis mine).

When God designs and separates a man for greatness, he will tell him to leave his comfort zone. So  face your future, dare to take that risk that could turn your life around, dare to dream big, face that Goliath and soon you will breakthrough on all sides.

In today’s, commit to memory, we see that the very first thing God told Abraham, he must do for the manifestation to Greatness was that He must leave Ur- his father’s house and not until Abraham obeyed this instruction as he now knew God separated him for blessing, his greatness never became a reality. I pray that the Almighty God will move us to the place of our greatness in Jesus name.

Reflection: If you are not ready and willing to leave where you are, you cannot get to where God is taking you to.

Prayer Lines: Father, help me to obey the instructions that will catapult me to my greatness.
