Commit to Memory: “And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.” Jeremiah 29:13 KJV
Friends, in as much you are a Believer, then by default the bible says His divine power has given us all things that pertains to life and godliness (2 Pet.1:3). But then there is a clause. And that clause is to first seek the Kingdom. First thing first. What are you pursuing? What is it that has turned your heart against the Lord? Is it the love of money? Desire for material possessions at all cost? Lust? Love for women? The quest at all cost for power and fame? What is it that is occupying your heart? In this light, the Bible says in Matthew 6:33 NLT
“Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need.”
Do you desire food, fame, Power, influence or affluence? What exactly do you desire? What are your life’s aspirations and goals? Resolve now that the only need above all other needs in your life as a child of God is to “Seek the Lord”. But then if you must seek him. It must be today and now? Why? It takes time to know God. So David said ‘early will I seek Him’ why? Those that seek him early will find him. See what God says in Isaiah 55:7 when we seek Him:
“Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the Lord, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.”
Our commit to memory today relays that we can only find God if we seek him with the whole of our hearts. It’s called the law of encounter. But why? God is a Rewarder of those that diligently seek Him (Heb.11:6). He does not just reward you because of a religious ritual or a routine of some spiritual exercise(s). He is a rewarder of not just heaven seekers but diligent seekers. So wake up, and take your Christian walk with the Lord more serious for it is time to seek the Lord.
Reflection: Until the search begin wholeheartedly, your needs are far from your reach.
Prayer Lines: Father, now and for the rest of my life, give me a heart that will continually seek you
