Commit to Memory: “He cancelled the record of the charges against us and took it away by nailing it to the cross. In this way, he disarmed the spiritual rulers and authorities. He shamed them publicly by his victory over them on the cross.” Colossians 2:14-15 NLT
In today’s commit to memory, while at cavalry, Jesus blotted out the handwriting of ordinances and abolished every evil charge that was against us and contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross; He then went ahead to defeat the devil and the entire kingdom of darkness at the enemy’s gate and returned victory to the Believer.
Friends, the Lord is saying by this mandate that your night seasons are no more, your ugly past will not affect your glorious future, your barrenness is turned to fruitfulness, your sicknesses and infirmities are no more, in that area of your life you are almost giving up- Rest has come, that loss shall be no more, you are free from that curse that crushed others in your family, your sins are forgiven and remembered no more, the storm before you is over, every satanic handwriting, enchantments and divination are cancelled for your sake, never again will evil prosper against you, no more labouring in vain. Why? Jesus said: IT IS FINISHED. For a user of this inspiration, every finished work and charge at cavalry tree still finding expression in your life is crushed in the name of Jesus. Never again, it shall not prosper in your life or befall you again. See what Hebrews 2:14-15 says in this wise:
“Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil; And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.”
Jesus received 39 strokes and according to Jewish law, He took an additional stripe to make it forty; and each stroke summaries every sickness or evil charge that you can ever face in life and while they caused him to go through agony, sorrow and intense pain- the pain was so unbearable and full of extreme agony such that the word “EXCRUCIATING” originated to depict and explain the severity of the pain of crucifixion at Cavalry tree and after Jesus said- it’s finished, a new chapter of a life in godliness began.
Friends, this new life begins with you today; when you begin to work in the consciousness of the finished work of Christ. For every reign of poverty, disappointment, setbacks, delay, barrenness, rejection, addiction, satanic dominion, infirmity and whatever affliction- Jesus is saying to you today- “IT IS FINISHED”
Reflection: Your problems and challenges can never be tired of you, you have got to be fed up with them. Then it is finished.
Prayer Lines: Jesus, as you have nailed all my afflictions to the cross saying… it is finished, give me grace to walk in this reality.
