It is Finished

Commit to Memory: “When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.”  John 19:30 KJV

Your being alive today is not a mistake; it is only a life without Christ that is a big mistake. That is what the finished work of Christ brought. It brought total victory and restoration to mankind.

When Jesus said “it is finished”, he was saying enter into rest on all sides. Because he said it is finished, every pain or peril that befell men before this occasion at Cavalry ceases once such a fellow becomes Born again. That’s why Numbers 23:23 NLT says:

“No curse can touch Jacob; no magic has any power against Israel. For now it will be said of Jacob, ‘What wonders God has done for Israel!”

For a user of this inspiration, your mouth shall be fully of testimonies and wonders the Lord has done and will do through you. Why? Because Jesus paid it all when He said it is finished.

When Jesus said it is finished, he was saying that he had received all the ills and perils that could make us incomplete in God. He was saying- He became poor, that through His poverty you will be rich, He became weak via the forty stripes so you can be strong, he became a scapegoat so that you can be out of every kind of dungeon that ever befell you once you become born again so that you will not suffer again.

Beloved, when Jesus said it is finished- Rest was birthed, the rest that brings out the best in you, the rest that ends every restlessness. This means that your burdens are lifted, your yokes are destroyed, your chains are broken and whatever is preventing your destiny from soaring is aborted.

Reflection: Until you begin to work in the reality of the finished work of Christ, you never gain mastery over the vicissitudes of life.

Prayer Lines: Jesus, because you said it is finished, make me complete in all things that pertains to life and godliness.
