A Call to Meekness- part 2

Commit to Memory: “The Lord lifteth up the meek: he casteth the wicked down to the ground.” Psalms 147:6 KJV

Many lives have missed divine liftings due to the lack of the virtue- Meekness. In this light, Meekness is power and strength that is absolutely surrendered to God’s leading, prompting and control, its the virtue of gentleness and calmness of the spirit, soul and body devoid of weakness but strength under the control of the Holy Spirit thus making submission to God and man an express path. Are you wondering while you have repeatedly made costly mistakes in your decisions? A pointer to this could be lack of meekness as any day, any time meekness will birth guidance in your judgement of things (Psa.25:9).

Friends, do you desire this virtue of meekness that the Lord Jesus himself presented to his disciples? Then you must not be self centered but Christ centered in all things, be willing to sacrifice for the interest of others, seek the sufferings of the cross, don’t give up on people- see them the way God sees them, don’t be quick to strike when you are empowered to do so, seek the throne not the title, let heaven at last be your goal, don’t be worried about those who are negative and speak ill of you, be satisfied and contented, don’t be too big or old to learn from others, don’t be full of yourself, cease making compulsory demands from your subordinates because of your position, privileges, possessions or status, stop oppressing and cursing those you have authority over at every provocation, stop defending yourself but see God as your vindicator, pardon and forgive easily and always. But why all these you may ask? As captured in today’s commit to memory “WHEN YOU ARE MEEK- THE LORD WILL LIFT YOU UP”. For a user of this inspiration, may this be your lot in Jesus name. See what Solomon said in Prov. 16:32

“He that is slow to anger is better than the mighty; and he that ruleth his spirit than he that taketh a city.”

Can God trust you with spiritual power without becoming a Lord of your own? Can he entrust you with kingdom finances without you becoming out of His control and unruly to those he has placed over you?

Reflection: You are next in line for a lifting every time you pass the meekness test.

Prayer Lines: Father you are the Lifter of men, lift me up and make me meek before your eyes
