Leave the Crowd

Commit to Memory:  “ When Jesus came by, he looked up at Zacchaeus and called him by name . Zacchaeus! He said quickly come down! I must be a guest in your house today. Zacchaeus quickly climbed down and took Jesus to his house in great excitement and joy”.  Luke 19:5-6. NLT

The story line of our commit to memory today relays Jesus entering Jericho and passing through the town, at this particular time a man by name Zacchaeus – a rich chief tax collector heard that Jesus was some where around the crowd, so he tried to see Jesus but for his deformity been a short man he couldn’t because of the crowd who formed a wall to block his view and gaze at Christ. So immediately, he ran ahead and climbed a sycamore fig tree beside the path Jesus would pass through and as soon as Christ got to that spot, he looked up and called him by name and then said “I MUST BE IN YOUR HOUSE TODAY”. For a user of this inspiration, today the Lord is calling you by name that he must be in your house today. If that is you, say Amen.

In life, to breakthrough limits and rise to stardom, you must be willing to step out, stand out, stand alone atimes, follow wisely the great, do the unusual, think outside the box, and pursue your dreams. Amidst the multitude, there are usually all manner of people. Here you have people without life aspirations, no vision, purposeless and heading for no where. 1 Corinthians 15:33 NIV says:

“Do not be misled: “Bad company corrupts good character.”

Beloved, to leave the crowd is to be isolated from people that are going no where. How? Stop flocking with peers and associations that add no value to your life, they only come around you to drain and suffocate you, they may even give you fish but never teach you the how and when to fish. Are you tired of been in the crowd? The Lord is saying to you today as much as you can strive and cultivate the culture system of surrounding yourself with people that are wiser, better, higher, greater and knowledgeable than you and I tell you the truth- you will rise to stardom in grand style in no distant time and might even exceed your dreams and admirers.

Reflection: Those you surround yourself with determines what surrounds and becomes of your life.

Prayer Lines: Father, separate me by your fire from those going no where and join me with those heading  for glorious destinies.
