“And Elijah answered and said to the captain of fifty, If I be a man of God, then let fire come down from heaven, and consume thee and thy fifty. And there came down fire from heaven, and consumed him and his fifty.” 2 Kings 1:10 KJV.
Fire is the mark of the end time Believer. It’s the proof of authentic power, it’s the language that sinks and sends the enemy packing and makes the kingdom of God fearsome. Little wonder John Wesley said: ‘’Get on fire for God and the world will watch you burn with holy boldness’’.
When the fire fell at Mount Carmel in 1 kings 18:20-40, the Bible says all the prophets of baal fell on their faces in shame and cried saying: Jehovah is God, the God that answereth by fire, the God of Elijah- He is God, the prophets of baal attested to it. Little wonder Acts 10;38 says:
“How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him”.
This was the testimony of our Lord Jesus Christ. Can men see the fire of God burning in your life? Have you been baptized with this Pentecostal fire? Are you engaged with the kingdom business without spiritual fire? That’s why there are many believers but few revivalists today. But do you have the fire of God shut up in your bones? Are you a carrier of this fire? Have you contacted this fire? Do you know that a litmus test of God’s presence in your life, is when you are burning with the Holy Ghost fire.
Fire is an opportunity for significance, the devil is rejoicing and have no business with you when you lack fire because as far as satan is concerned, he can toy with you and yours at ease. But like Elijah God is daily in search of carriers of His fire, those he will release it upon, if you open up , hunger and thirst for it, His fire shall fall on you today. The choice is yours.
